Description
The Hopi House is located on the South Rim of the Grand Canyon in Arizona. It was built by the Fred Harvey Company as a market for Native American crafts, made by artisans on the site. The building was designed to closely resemble a traditional Hopi pueblo and was opened January 1st 1905 just before the more famous El Tovar Hotel next door. It is a very 3D building but hard to get a 3D image because all the warm reds in the Arizona sandstone come forward making it look flat.
