Description
Climbing Highway 149 south out of charming Lake City, Colorado, the snow clouds parted to let us glimpse Lake San Cristobal, Bent Peak and Carson Peak. Squeezing to the edge of the road for the shot, why not put the roadster top up too since we are crossing this mountain range.

Our week drive in Colorado (see gallery) yielded such fond memories that we have decided to go back and try it out in summer. We have chosen this area to rent a jeep and play on the mining trails for a couple of days.

The emotion I had for this is a peaceful serenity -- which lasted for about 3 minutes until we heard a car climbing the hill behind us.
